In CNA school, after much self-reflection, Robelyn realized that nursing was her true calling. While balancing life as a wife and a new mother, she took nursing classes and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. While working two jobs as a Charge/Treatment/Admission nurse, she went to night school for her Registered Nursing degree.
After a year of working at Brentwood Health Care Center as an RN Supervisor, she was promoted to the Director Of Nursing position. That was 8 years ago. Robelyn enjoys the staff and the professional relationships she’s developed over the years as a nurse. The great team at Brentwood made it possible for her to attain and maintain a 5-star rating as Director of Nursing.
While at Brentwood, she has had the opportunity to work with, and learn from, amazing people including patients, colleagues, and mentors. True collaboration, equal accountability, effective decision making, appropriate staffing, meaningful recognition and mutual respect for each staff’s roles and responsibilities make Brentwood a unique skilled nursing facility. That empowerment from the administration and management has made a real difference in the care delivered to patients.
Robelyn is grateful for the BEST TEAM that makes a difference in people’s lives both with patients and their family members. She is blessed by collaborating care with these great professionals that have common goals, which are to make sure patients are safe, happy and well cared for. Robelyn, enjoys spending time with her family and cultivating the talent in her wonderful nurses.
